Quirky ;)

Barry is a software engineer, leader, and entrepreneur with over 20 years' experience. The glory days of paragliding and playing team sports (rugby and Ultimate Frisbee) are definitely not over - coaching is where the real talent is anyway. Bribes should be provided in the form of a good single malt or invites to fun outdoor cycling, hiking and camping adventures in nature.

Barry founded HappyPorch to create web and software solutions that support the shift to a regenerative, circular economy. Digital Technology & software have a vital role to play if we are to successfully tackle major issues such as climate change, global social inequality and biodiversity loss. To get that role right we need to approach software and tech businesses with transparency and love.

The name HappyPorch is inspired by Louis MacNeice's poem "The Sunlight on the Garden", which reflects on the fleeting nature of happiness and the importance of cherishing joyful moments. HappyPorch is our place to enjoy the sunlight in good company, while we work to make the world a better place.
